Woolworths Complies with Consumer Protection Act

Looking to buy a new pair of trousers for office use at Woolworths Canal Walk , I found what I was looking for at R599.00 per pair. I located a pair of my size and proceeded to the check out and the system billed R599.00. Then the cashier pointed out that the specific pair I had selected was marked at R549.00. I indicated that I was prepared to pay R599.00 as that was the price on all the other items, but she insisted, called a supervisor who over-rode the system price, and I was charged R549.00 for the R599.00 trousers. I know the Consumer Protection Act provides that one should pay the price as per the label, but I didn't even notice the different price. Well done to Woolworths Canal Walk on insisting on CPA compliance.
