Woolworths are leeches

I had a Woolworths Credit Card, and I unfortunately was unable to continue with the payment. I then resumed payment in instalments. All those instalments were made directly to Woolworths even though the account was handed over and all the time collectors would call me they would acknowledge the payment that I made directly to Woolworths. On the 31st December 2025 I made my last payment of R1163 towards the account. Amazingly the same account is now handed over to MBD with a new balance of R2000, in May 2025. Woolworths are serous ****mers and chancers, all this time they continued to acknowledge payment and update. How do they start over handing over the account? Why now can they update each other as they used to when I was paying in instalments? Mind you the same MBD are the collectors who used to call and acknowledge payment in hopes of making payments arrangements. Such a big company, working with ****** to leech money from consumers.
