Woolworths' appalling treatment of loyal customers

I went grocery shopping at Woolworths in Eldoraigne yesterday. They had a big adverti*****t (I even took a picture) for 5 kids juices for R60 but scanned different amount at the till. I pointed this out to the cashier who went to check at the isle and then called the manager. He apologized and said it was a mistake but refused to give it at the advertised price on the shelf. He insisted I pay R60 for 2 which he said is what should have been said on the adverti*****t. I said but the compensation policy says I should pay what's on the shelf, he said that's a Pick 'n Pay policy.

I had recently started shopping at this store because I stopped going to the Woolworths at ********** Not too long ago I went to buy chicken but found it still in the oven and asked that they keep one as I would return after shopping elsewhere. I returned and the lady said I thought you were not coming back so I gave the chicken to someone else. There were 2 chickens so I said but there's chicken here. She said this is for a "white lady", she asked it to be kept. I said but I did the same, the only difference between us is that I'm here now so you can tell her the same thing you're telling me. She refused and I asked to see the manager. Who just said the lady was wrong to give away an order but his only solution was that they would call the lady to see if she is still coming for the 2 chickens and only if she says no, would they give me one. My question was why did I not get the same courtesy, is it because I'm not a "white lady".

Today was just the last straw perhaps it's not a specific store I should have stayed away from but Woolworths as a whole!
