Woolworths Account Protection Insurance

I had a Woolworths store card for years and its now paid up. I recently realized that there was a credit life policy attached to this account. I then sent an email to Woolworths to ask what happened to this policy and i was told it was cancelled when i closed the account. Then i asked if they can pay back my contributions and they told me i have forfeited everything when i closed the account. I feel that this is so unfair. So many people owns a Woolworths store card not knowing they have this protection insurance attached to their accounts. when they Settle and cancel the account they loose out . it means the company is making more money out of this policies.
