Woolworths
On 18 December 2022, I shopped at Woolworths Pavilion. I purchased groceries, including a magazine that cost R150. I had more than enough Woolworths grocery bags, including plastic bags. All of the groceries went into bags except the magazine. When I got to my car, it was almost dark. Assuming that all of my purchases was in the shopping bags, I put all of my bags into my boot and drove off . I used a trolley from Dis-Chem. At the bottom of the trolley, there was a a plastic sheet with somethin written on it, and was fastened to the bottom of the trolley with cable ties (I stand to be corrected). Maybe I should have looked in the dark for the magazine that was not put into my shopping bag. if that was what I was supposed to have done, then my bad!!! If this is something new that Woolworths has started (no longer putting magazines in shopping bags) then I wish I would have known. If this is not something new, then it would be mighty interesting to know why, despite my having extra bags that the "packer" chose not to put the magazine into the bag. It would be interesting. So people, next time you are shopping at Woolworths, please be vigilant. After all, it seems that the onus is on you the customer to make sure that if you have purchased something and its not in your shopping bag, the you need to check your trolley, even if it is dark. By the way, I did call thinking that I had left the magazine in store, and was informed that the cameras had been checked, and that the employee put the magazine into the trolley. This confirms that the magazine was not put into a shopping bag. This is a first time experience for me-I guess there is always a first time for such an occurrence. So again customers, please enhance your "vigilance" skills.
