Woolworths

It was such a disappointing visit to Woolworths Kolonnade on the 24th of December. I recently lost my card and because I have the woolies app I saw an option that said I could freeze my card and activate my virtual card in store BUT that wasn't the case I was told I can't shop without the physical card and I have to wait to order or go to sammy marks as they issue our cards on the spot all this I was told by a lady named Tshiamo whom I was seeking assistance from who went to the back and asked someone who confirmed the same. They said if I didn't have the card they could give me a temp card and because I already have an issued card there is no way I can shop any other way in shop besides the physical card 😡.

The most frustrating thing ever is that I ended up purchasing things with cash only to find out from the cashier that I can buy using a virtual card soooo different explanation from the same shop exactly how can I? If I block my card I won't be able to even purchase online and it's the festive what are the chances that I'll get my card before the year ends? I am highly disappointed Woolworths should move with the times, even Shoprite I can use even my ID to get my card number and purchase successfully not forgetting Ackermans where I can use my ID aswell but with woolies either you have the physical card or you don't buy at all, what a disappointment
