WOOLWORTH COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE SEEMS LIKE IT IS A ****!

*** ***88

Good day

I was retrenched in December 2019. In January 2020 I went to Woolworths Cape Gate and advised them as well as handing in my letter of retrenchment. The assistant called Financial Services and explained and she put my on the phone to explain my situation. I was advised that they would contact me should they need further information or documentation. I also had comprehensive insurance which I is meant to cover me for retrenchment.

I missed a job opportunity after being retrenched for so long because without notifying me, woolworths starting updating unpaid totals on my credit score. Transunion advised. They in turn advised an outstanding amount relating to my Woolworths account. I never received no calls advising my account was in arrears and neither did I receive statements as the account was blocked. To my knowledge the comprehensive cover took care of the balance on my account. I have sent them an affidavit confirming I am still unemployed. Every time I email they say they will get back to me in 72 hours and some email it says they will get back in 5 days. No one ever got back to me in 2 weeks and the insurance division apparantly doesnt take calls.

I missed a job and of the 3 helpless consultants I tried speaking to, no one had info and just told me to wait for response to my emails.

Transunion is requesting Woolworths to send a letter of instruction confirming the account is settled. Further I require a 'Paid Up" letter. I am waiting for the paid up letter for 2 weeks which a consultant advised I would recieve.

Please can someone urgently contact me to resolve this issue.

Thank you Sonja .
