Woollies - Please sanitise with a smile
Woolworths Food Platterkloof, CT After several visits to the store I am very disappointed to note 2 things: Firstly, customers collect their trolley then go to the door, hands are sanitized but if you want your trolley sanitized you have to request that it be done. Finally this morning I asked why trolleys were not sanitized at the Trolley collection point to make it safer for customers. My question was met with silence - REALLY it’s regulatory. Come on woollies - customers have right to stay safe.
WARNING: trolleys previously sanitized and parked in the collection point are unacceptable as customers sometimes touch more than one when they are pulling out a trolley.
Secondly. Whilst the store manager is on the ball making sure counters are stocked etc. the general staff are about the most unfriendly bunch - from the packers who are always too busy packing to assist you, to the floor supervisors who find you an inconvenience, to OMG the bad attitude cashiers. At first I thought it was anxiety related to COVID-19 ... but 3+ months down the line ???? You people need to have a chat to your staff on common courtesy and customer service. Maybe an excursion a few doors away to Pick & Pay would be good training(a store which I really don’t enjoy shopping in - (bad layout, untidy and stuff lying in aisles ). The sanitizing attendant always friendly and ever ready with a sanitized trolley, and cashiers that greet, and say a few words . Life goes on and we really cannot go around being uncooperative, rude or just plain grumpy ....
Come on woollies .... surely the fact that we are all going through COVID-19 together, we all share similar fears and no one is sure how long this will last - please make an extra effort to give customers good service. Supermarket shopping is probably 90% of our “social Interaction” these days So be friendly and keep SA safe.
