Woolies WESKUS mall poor conduct

This review involves 3 experiences in Woolworths in the Weskus Mall and will be detailed in point form for readers to easily follow the sequence of the events.

- During my first experience at woolies recently i bought numerous items and when i arrived at the tills the cashier requested whether i wanted any bags. I said Yes and the casher wanted to issue me with a Black re-usable bag. I stopped her and requested whether the store does not have any more bags. She answered no and i gave her the go ahead to give me the re-usable bag.

- on the second occasion i again approached the cashier after purchasing several items and requested bags. On this occasion i could see that the tills did have bags in stock however mentioned nothing about it. The cashier requested again as usual whether i wanted a bag and i said yes. She again attempted to sell me the re-usable bags. I stopped he and asked her "dont you have normal plastic bags" and she said "no". This was clearly a LIE as i could see the bags there.

- on the third occassion i asked the cashier and she informed me that they no longer are allowed to give customers plastic bags with no additional reasons why.

Firstly i am dissapointed in the fact that the cashier **** in order to not give me as a customer what i requested. This is very unproffessional to say the least.

Secondly it would appear as if the drive for not issuing plastic bags is to drive the concept of reducing waste. If this is the case then why issue customers with bags made of synthetic material. It inevitably amounts to the same thing. WASTE! It appears as if this excuse is being used to sell customers more expensive bags to make more money. If the drive was really to reduce waste it would seem logical that they would change from plastic to paper as other stores like Checkers have done.

To the customer shopping there it may not seem like alot of money and to the patrons shopping there it probably isnt but still based on principle I feels wrong and i for one will due to this rather refrain from doing any more shopping at woolies in WESKUS mall and would urge anyone that values not being **** to to do the same.
