Woolies selling off fish and trying to avoid the issue - fishy business!

I reported an issue to Woolies customer care when some individually portioned snoek (at Canal Walk) had expired days before the expiry date on the packaging . They were not interested. Instead they posed questions that no mortal would be able to answer unless I had kept the smelly and by then toxic wrapping of the expired product and in doing so had welcomes the whole neighborhood's flies and ****roaches. Easy way to get a quick ticket closure huh?

Questions asked:

* barcode - Would only be on the wrapping that contained the expired fish * sell-by date - I clearly stated this in my email to Woolies. Don't we all love to duplicate!?! * purchase store - I clearly stated this in my email to Woolies. Don't we all love to duplicate!?! * price - Does this have any relevance? Maybe if it had been Kingklip they would be interested? * batch codes - Really Woolies, how am I supposed to know that? Wait, maybe on the rank smelly toxic wrapper in the garbage bin?

Vuyokazi Ndevu was the "customer care" agent that "helped" me ( ********** 3- ********** 75)

Not the first time I've had this issue with Woolies. Both with regards to prematurely expired good and "smelly" disinterested service afterwards too. Not "the difference" like they used to be I guess.

P.S. I kept the till receipt which I do nowadays due to recurrences of off product being sold. Were they interested in the reference number on that to maybe trace all the gory details via the Point of Sale database? Of course not. They wanted to close the ticket!
