What's the point of selling food that's never available

Went to Woolworths this morning at 8.40 to purchase a pie and they never have anything ready at that time of the morning which makes no sense as they open the doors at 8. When i ask the staff why Is nothing ready at this time they say they have been busy and I asked what time did you start they say 6? The whole point of starting at 6 is to have the bakery section ready before the doors open. And this is not the first time.
