What has happened to Woolies quality in clothing?

What has happened to the quality of Woolies basics? I recently bought a pack of 5 work socks...in less than 1 month and inly worn twice, one has a hole in the toe and the heels are wearing thin on two pairs. I also have a black work belt less than a year old with worn out patches in four different places from the pants loop. Is it just me or is this becoming a consistent theme?
