WFS - Card customer services are inept and embarrassingly bad.
I’ve been a Woolworths Credit Card holder for years, but the last six weeks have been nothing short of a nightmare. The level of incompetence I’ve encountered from Woolworths Financial Services is staggering. The call centre agents seem completely unequipped to resolve even the most basic issues. Instead of solutions, I’ve received a string of empty promises—callbacks that never happen and countless “IT incidents” that are supposedly logged but mysteriously vanish into thin air.
The new rewards program is riddled with problems, and to make matters worse, I can’t access previous transactions on either the website or the app. I’ve had to resort to calling the call centre just to get a statement—only to be told, again, that an IT request has been “logged.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.
Sinovuyo assured me that the issue would be logged and that I’d receive a statement by COB. This morning, I called again and spoke to Thulani, who informed me that no IT incident had ever been logged, and the statement is now sitting in some mysterious queue that could take up to 48 hours to process. Even more infuriating, I was told there are no incidents logged on my profile—despite being promised at least four times that something had been actioned.
This is not just poor service—it’s systemic failure. Woolworths Financial Services has shown a complete disregard for customer experience, accountability, and basic operational competence. I expected better from a brand like Woolworths. What I’ve received instead is a masterclass in how not to run a financial services operation.
