Very embarrassing moment!
This is an email which I sent to Woolworths on Saturday 26th September 2020. I have never been as embarrassed as I was in the store! Hi I am bitterly disappointed with the way in which I was treated at your Kenilworth Centre branch today.
I have had this Woolworths account for more than 40 years and I have never had experienced the embarrassment of being told that my account has been frozen due to non - payment. I have always endeavoured to pay more than the minimum amount due. I have not once been thanked for the way I paid my account at Woolworths!
Today, 26th September 2020 I went into the Kenilworth Centre store to buy two items and was told by your cashier that my account was frozen due to non-payment.
I showed the cashier the payment I made on the 24th of September and although I realise that it was a public holiday I would have assumed that the payment would reflect by today.
I went to the Customer Services center to sort my account out and the lady told me to call your Head office.
I did this and the man who answered the phone told me that an EFT payment takes 4 days to reflect on my account. I have made the decision to close my account with Woolworths for the bad treatment of a long standing client who, despite being a pensioner and being in the middle of an International Pandemic was refused to have the two items put onto my account.
I have attached the receipt that the cashier gave me.
