Very bad experience
Good day
Neziwe Mazolwana is my name. I am the director of Sikunye Pty (Ltd). I have been doing business with different organizations such as the ANC, Cape nature, SA medical reach council and many more. I was recently approached by Woolworths to render transport services to their staff from Woolworths Durbanville to different townships around Cape Town. I was approached by Yanga Kwetana in Woolworths head office who is based in Tshwane and in Cape Town I communicated with Jodey(Woolworths admin manager) . Due to the urgency of the need I was asked to start immediately which I did.
On the following day I requested that must finalize the agreement on paper, I asked that the contract be forwarded. Yanga then said due to the fact that she is not well informed of which routes the employees will have take.
My rate is R700 per trip according to the route operations. Again I communicated that with Yanga and she raised affordability concerns, and the amount Woolworths wanted to pay was far less. The amount woolworths was willing to is R450 per trip. I asked to speak to Yanga's Boss and Yanga said management was not able to attend to this, she is the only one who is handling these arrangements, what happened after shocked me, she then told me I must stop immediately.I was shocked but held my composure.
I invoiced Woolworths on the 10 December 2018 via email to Jodey Cc Yanga. There has been no communication from Woolworths, I tried several times to spoke with their staff members like Samantha and Thabeleng but nothing happened till today. I called Yanga and she told me she is on sick leave.I contacted woolworths finance department I was told the invoice is receipted and I must wait the money will reflect even if 90 days time though I don't have any agreement like that only they say will reflect in 3 to 4 days . This is the way that Woolworths operates with local businesses.
What is upsetting is the treatment I am receiving. I am asking my self is it because I am black, or is because I am female in the transport business/ They take my business for granted being owned by black woman.
I am challenging Woolworths to rectify this conduct. I wish the company and the staff the best and I hope that in future they will treat their suppliers in a respectable manner.
