Urgent Complaint: Appalling Service, Misinformation & Unresolved Account Issues
Dear Woolworths Management,
I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the appalling service and systemic failures I have endured while trying to resolve issues with my Woolworths store account over the past several months. The frustration and financial stress caused by your company’s incompetence, misinformation, and lack of accountability are unacceptable.
Here is a summary of the ongoing issues:
Wrongful Collections Referral: Despite making regular payments, my account was unjustly sent to a collections agency without proper notification or justification.
Misinformation: In March, I was instructed to pay ±R3,600 to have my account returned to Woolworths, which I comp**** with—only to later discover this was incorrect.
Credit Bureau Default: The Credit Bureau has confirmed that the outstanding amount reported by Woolworths was paid, yet the default remains on my record. They advised that Woolworths must remove it, but your team refuses to act.
Demand for Full Payment: Now, I’m being told—contradicting prior instructions—that I must pay the full amount to clear the default, despite ongoing payments and being charged double interest by both Woolworths and the collections agency. This is exploitative and *********.
My Demands: An immediate explanation for the misinformation and delays.
Removal of the wrongful default from my credit profile, as confirmed by the Credit Bureau.
A full breakdown of all payments, interest, and fees charged to my account.
Confirmation in writing that no further penalties will be app**** while this is resolved.
This situation has severely impacted my financial standing and mental well-being. If this is not resolved within 3 working days, I will escalate this matter to:
The National Credit Regulator (NCR)
The Credit Ombudsman
Consumer Protection Agencies
Public platforms (social media, media outlets) to warn others of your practices.
I expect a senior representative to contact me urgently to resolve this. My details are below:

This is your final opportunity to rectify your errors before I pursue formal disputes. The lack of accountability from Woolworths is inexcusable, and I will not tolerate further delays.
Sincerely, Siphelele Ndaba
