Unsatisfactory service delivery
Very disappointed with the service at Gateway branch in Durban. I visited Woolworths in Gateway to buy 2 pairs of shoes (same style, different colours) that were on sale. I managed to get the black pair. I fitted the natural colour shoe only to find that there was one shoe inside the box. The lady that was assisting me (Sipho) advised that she would could me back later in the afternoon after checking and she didn't call. I called the shop at 6:30pm and I was told that she had left. I spoke to Linda who also advised that she couldn't find it but would call me in the morning, she also did not call me.
I called the shop again this morning, spoke to Dinesh, she also checked and could not find it. I asked her to check other shops for me since it's not my fault as a customer that they displayed shoes that only had 1 in a box. She told me that they can't do it since its a sale item. My intention is to buy the shoes and not to just have a look at them and I don't understand why I cannot be assisted if the shoe can be located at another branch.
I'm very frustrated and annoyed by this incident, I don't understand why I should be pushed by what can and can't be done when the shop is at fault. I expect better service from Woolies.
What about fixing your house whilst delivering to your customers? What about putting the client first? Why should it sound like a norm that things will disappear and it's okay? I just didn't feel like my concerns were taken into consideration.
It's sad that we live in a society where things become acceptable just because it's the standard rules. Unfortunately, I can not accept this. I was told by Dinesh that Rosebank branch has 3 pairs of my size. I need someone to arrange for 1 pair to be sent to Gateway branch and I will go collect from there by Friday this week.
Thank you
