Unsatisfactory service and response
On the 23rd of October 2017 I decided to write an email to woolworths customer services with a complaint on a studio w item i bought, a black pleather skirt, the item is only for winter season as one is unable to weather such garment/material in summer, this skirt was packed neatly in my suitcase only to find that when I wanted to wear it, it was pealing white fabric was showing and would make my room dirty cause the material is not strong enough, there is nothing that shows the proper way of storing the item, it was never washed nor dry cleaned, I received a professional acknowledgement email from customer services with the ff reference number: ********** 0- ********** 36. I was told to take it to the nearest woolworths store to be assisted, when i went there a coloured cashier was very helpful only the manager told me that he will not take the item back since it's old, and i showed him the email and he changed his mind and decided to take the item, this was an indian chap, he promised to give feedback within 3 weeks which no one did and I decided to do a follow up yesterday and today I received a call from Woolworths West Str dbn telling me they will investigate the matter, within 45 min they called telling me that they received feedback from the head office and they cant take the item back but will give me a consolation for R200, what an insult from this manager he must be thinking I'm suffering or it's hunger games, I did not buy that skirt for R200, Woolworths must own up for selling low quality items not so high/best quality as they claim to be. I'm highly annoyed and irritated by the level of service and acknowledgement one is receiving, service should be the same across the board regardless of your title, race and material possessions.
