unsatisfactory service

On 15 may I bought a garment from Woolworths. Before my daughter wanted to wear it,she rinse it with clean water. Only to find,out that it is too big. I return it to Woolworths but because we rinse it,they did not to want to take it back. Do I have a case? Please help
