Unprofessional and rude staff
I am livid and appalled at the service and manner in which Woolworths staff and managers handled my query this afternoon in their Cavendish store.
I went to purchase two pack navy skirts from their Vangate store this morning, but when I got home, I realized that the items looked like they were "untidy" from sitting on their floor meaning their rails. So, I decided I would return them when I had time and take something else for my daughter.
As I am a social worker I'm always working on the road, I then went past their Cavendish store to return the skirts and take a swimsuit for my daughter swimming lessons. I explained to them what had happened and the first manager by the name of Ezlene told me straight that they won't be taking the items as they are not in a saleable condition and that I should contact Vangate store myself and take it up with them. Which was strange as to my knowledge the Woolworths stores are one, they are not individual entities nor are they franchises. I could see that she was under the impression that the skirts were worn but how could they be worn when all the tags were on and they were still pinned together also the fact that they were bought that same morning so it was impossible.
They then called a second manager a Mr Andile Tyalane, who was even more rude and condescending than the first, and gave me the impression that this was an issue of race and assumptions. Both managers did not even bother to call the store and verify my facts, nor check that the purchase was made by checking my rewards card they just straight refused.
Mr Andile went as far as arguing with me in the store telling me that he isn't amused by having an argument with me, no empathy whatsoever when the facts were right in front of them that the skirt was not worn it came from one of their stores like that. Their staff is rude and have no people skills whatsoever because they just left me there talking and walked away.
