Unhelpful staff

I have a nude Woolworths heel, bought last year at R399.00. 2 weeks ago one of the heels broke in half while I was at work, I took it to the Woolworths Cape Town branch, as that's where I bought it and they are close to my workplace. They refused to take it without proof of purchase - I took it to the shoe repairs, no help there either, they're unable to fix it. <br> I don't know what to do now, the shoe is still in good condition and I wear it to work/church. I'm surprised that Woolworths cannot help in this regard.
