Unhappy customer

Beginning of the month I bought the Estèe Lauder double wear foundation, asked for assistance in matching my skin color but was told that due to covid regulations I cannot remove my mask for long so I needed to quickly apply the tester for the match. I bought the one which they felt was best suited; which does not come cheap. When I get home and apply the foundation I realize that what was discovered under the store lighting is definitely not my skin match, the color does not match my skin on natural lighting, there’s quite a noticeable difference. Upon my attempt to return it, I was told that they cannot take it back due to the fact that I used it and covid stories. My question Was how else would I have noticed it does not match my skin without using it? So now I’m stuck with a product I’m not happy with and a loss of about R600.
