Unauthorized debits

On the 6 March 2021 I returned an item purchased for R169.00 at Woolworths Diamond Pavilion in Kimberley. The amount was to be credited to my account. I used the same debit card to make a payment on an unrelated Woolworths store card for R500. I also purchased food and clothes for R1582.11 with this debit card. On the 11 March 2021 my debit card was credited with R169.00 x 2, R1582.11 and debited for R500 x2. On the 15 March my debit card was debited for R1582.11. I assumed Woolworths would call me to address the error in credits and debits. How is it that my chegue account was debited without my authorization? I felt violated in that Woolworths was moving money in and out of my private bank account as if they own it. And I don't even have a store card with them. Still today no call. This behavior is open to ***** and I am uncomfortable shopping with my bank card at woolworths.
