Unacceptable service from untrained staff
I took my mom to woolworths montana kolonade yesterday to collect her credit card. We went to the store with the same proof of residence that was emailed to the financial service department, but the lady behind the counter refused to accept this. We were told to take an affidavit form to the police station to be commissioned for myself to confirm my mother's address, as she lives with me. As I am a commissioner of oaths myself and work for a law firm, we decided to take the affidavit to the post office to be commissioned. We did this as my mother is 61 years old and a pensioner, and it would have been a huge inconvenience for my mother to have to drive to a police station at her elderly age. When we returned, we were told that woolworths does not accept commissioning by the post office. I then complained saying that it is unacceptable that they do not accept commissioning by any commissioner of oaths. Only then did they request that I sign another declaration to confirm the same. It took several conversations with different consultants to resolve this situation. I am very disappointed that the staff are so poorly trained and that we had to spend more than an hour just to collect a credit card. We were sent left and right for no apparent reason. This is not the first time that I experienced such poor service and I believe this must be attended to.
