Trenery refused to exchange defected garment.

Today I went to Woolworths Pavillion store where I bought a suite a year ago with my credit card which I have since cancelled. The first challenge I had encountered is that I lost my slip few months back which made it difficult for me to return the trousers which resemble a diffect delow the back pocket. I strongly believe that when this garment was manufactured did not have enough supporting material underneath to prevent such. I must say that although it was not yet torn it was something that was beyond my control as a customer. Fortunately this week I managed to get a price tag for the suit. i thought it was going to useful to the store in retrieve the transaction since it was bought with a Woolworths card. I then decided to visit the store.

I was first assisted by an Indian lady from customer service whom directed be to the Trenery department as she declares that she cannot assist with my query. Upon my arrival to the department I was then assisted by a gentlemen called Lungelo whom I explained to him my visit. He responded that he cannot assist me since I do no possess a slip and it's been more than a year since I bought the items. He then called his manager named Nomthi. She also told me the same thing as Lungelo and added that they are guided by policies which says 6 months return policy. The item that I was returning shows a label that it was manufactured in 2016, further adding that my price tag was showing a reduced price which means according to her she cannot find any item to replace this trouser. This make me now wonder of the reason of the clearance, it is believed that they knew there is something wrong with the items. It really does not make does not make financial sense that we pay thousands of Rands even on reduced items believing that it is value for money.

I explained to the lady that even if she gave me a different trouser, credit note whatsoever,i was going to be satisfied. She was not will to arrange anything for me. To my surprise there was a customer who was standing behind me, she intervened and said to her she also had a problem where she returned some of her items that were more than 2 years old where she did not have a slip at all however she was credited. Nomthi rep**** that it was not her who passed a credit for her.

I am so frustrated and disappointed that Trenery-Woolworths will have double standard when it comes to their customers. One who is black gets treated any how, with no respect. A suit is something that one do not wear often. I do not support her when she said she is guided by a so called 6 months policy when I have not even used this suit for more than six times and it clearly resemble a manufacture defect.

I truly cannot believe that I have to deal with so much with a brand that quality assures. I will really appreciate it for this to be attended to and get a resolution within 2days
