Treat each other with kindness in the presence of customers.
So, on Saturday 11 June. I went to Woolworths Fluerdal in Bloemfontein to purchase yogurt and juice. When I reached the till point, the cashier was a lovely lady. I was unable to make the payment immediately cause I had a wrong card and had to drive back home to get the correct one. The cashier agreed to keep my item aside so when I come back I just go make the payment.
Upon my return, I thought the items were put back in the fridges so I went to get the yogurt and juice and a dress. Got back in line and went to pay at a different cashier (who is also lovely)
My day got ruined at this point!!!!!!!! The lady who the cashier calls to fo voids remarked negatively to the cashier that had assisted in my first visit to stop. She told the cashier, "You see now, these things that you put here and said the customer is coming back, now she is paying at another till. "
I profusely apologized to the cashier and explained why I paid at another cashier. What I found to be extremely wrong was the way this lady spoke to the cashier in my presence! She should have atleast waited for me leave the store (as customer) and made sure that I did not hear how they treat cashiers.
This was completely wrong. Can staff members maintain professionalism in the presences of customes.
