Total Rip-off and theft of Customer's money at Woolworths Cresta.

According to the Consumer Protection Act - the price you see is the price you pay, yet Woolworths Cresta does not stick to the law. Instead when you get to the till, the price charged is more, even if it is only 1%, than the price displayed on the actual item. The excuse is that they have a 3 months leeway to change their prices to include the 1% increase in VAT which has been effective from 1st April 2018, 6 weeks ago. How do I know that the actual price displayed the item does not already include the extra 1% VAT and that now Woolworths is trying to coin in on getting an extra 1% on all purchases for the 3 months they have set aside to update their prices????? Is this legal?? Your manager was called by the teller, but DID NOT SEE FIT to even come to the teller to answer to this query?? Needles to say, we left the purchases at the till and walked out and I bought what I needed at another store, whose displayed prices were actually also charged at the till. I don't think Woolworths Cresta will see me again. Disgusted and annoyed - does Woolworths really need to trample this low???
