Torn School shoes
I bought school takkies for my son at the end of June, and by September they already had holes in them. I emailed Woolworths and was referred to the closest store for an assessment. When I went to the Mdantsane branch, the manager said they would send the shoes away for assessment and get back to me. I’ve also noticed several reviews from other customers mentioning the sudden drop in the quality of Woolworths school shoes.
Under the Consumer Protection Act, a product that is defective within six months should be replaced, yet I’m now left waiting without any solution. What really frustrates me is that, during this waiting period, my child has no proper shoes to wear to school.
I’m very disappointed because I also bought takkies for myself that turned out to be faulty, but I let that slide. However, the school shoes are unacceptable, we shop at Woolworths expecting the best, yet the products now don’t even last a year
