Too *** for woolworths.
I've been an account holder with Woolworths for over 3 years and i am always shopping at Cresta mall & campus square. both stores are fami**** with me and i am very friendly with the staff as i now regard them as family cause i am always doing my shopping at both stores, but as a *** person that is transgender looking or female looking in appearance i am now finding it difficult to continue shopping there as no matter how many times i'm always at those stores, i feel like i'm made a mockery of that every time i present my store card i am told loudly that its not mine as it has a title of Mr on it thus needing me to explain further that i am a *** male even when i look feminine. i am always at those stores and i have encountered this over 6 times already. i have encountered it twice at campus square & 4 times at the Cresta branch, and now recently on the 21/10/2018 again. i am not sure if Woolworths equips their staff with ways to do customer verification without humiliating their customers as i cannot imagine how many of their ***, transgender or even inter*** customers must be feeling with the kind of ********** service they are subjected to, i even went as far as requesting a number of a customer service liaison individual that i could speak to regarding this but the organization itself didn't even want to give it out. i really feel like a LGBTQI desensitization should be carried out at the stores as this could potentially be something very intrusive & humiliating to someone that could be transitioning and maybe not even identifying with the gender that they may have been issued at birth. i am very displeased and i cannot believe that such big brand would neglect taking care of something so big, Woolworths can really do better than this. i really believe we taste the difference with Woolworths but they should also be striving to live up to their motto in delivering different from the rest excellent experience compared to other retailers.
