THE PRIZE FOR RIP-OFF RETAILER OF THE CENTURY GOES TO ... WOOLWORTHS!!!

Here is the reason I have at long last managed to persuade my wife to stop shopping at Woolworths (and I only give one example). Ostrich Fillets at Woolworths @ R279.99 / kg). Ostrich fillets at an opposing retail chain which I won't name but the brand is Ostriland Free Range @ R182.48 / kg!!!

But my personal favourite is the claim of Woolworths that they are so environmentally concerned that they are no longer making plastic shopping bags available to shoppers. Somehow that concern does not extend to the packaging of their produce because the amount of plastic wrapping and polystyrene trays used in the packaging of their vegetables is a joke! I suppose the plastic pushes up the weight of the produce and as for the bags, you can buy reusable Woolworths bags!!!

As the song goes Woolworths ... Ciao Adios ... my wife is gone!!!
