The big bag rip-off!
Under the guise of saving the planet Woolworths robs their customers.
We can all understand that plastics are harmful to the environment but this should not give Woolworths permission to ******* their customers. After crying about not being able to sell clothes for 2 months while the rest of us had no income at all I have no doubt that Woolworths decided to profit off our country through their bag scheme to make up their dropping share price and their bad decisions with regards Australia.
Almost R7 for a bad that costs maybe 20c to produce. Despicable!
Let me remind those who forgot that when the government made it law to pay for plastics stores were not meant to profit off them. Woolworths has now been “clever” got rid of the plastic and the government laws around packets and are *********** the public with material bags. So now if you forget to bring a bag or need to stop off unexpected to pick up dinner you’re either carrying and dropping food or paying for Woolworths to beef up their share prices. An absolutely disgusting decision.
Surely these bags can be sold for R2 and still be profitable (even though this should be a service included in the expensive foods they sell). Incredibly frustrating and annoying to be ********** or have to make trips to the car with full arms.
What a shameful and embarrassing practice for such a company!
