Terrible customer service at woolworths chatsworth

I bought an outfit as a gift and when i asked for a gift receipt the cashier said they don't give out gift receipts, it can be exchanged at any branch. My mother went in to exchange the outfit and the manager of Woolworths Chatsworth(Mdu) was no help at all. He wanted a gift receipt, date purchased and since we could not remember he couldn't help. His excuse was because of looting. This is not the way to treat your loyal paying customers by turning them away. Taking into account we are still in a pandemic and should not be visiting stores unnecessarily. The manager should be providing solutions and not just saying he can't help they policy changed and we must go back to the store we bought it from. The last time I checked we could shop at any store and do returns.Terrible customer service skills!
