Terrible Customer service.
I would like to file a complaint regarding my recent experience at Woolworths Southgate.
Woolworths had a sale on their juices, offering 3 for R100.00. I went to the store shortly after the sale began but was told there was no stock. I returned the next day, on the 22nd of June, and was again informed there was no stock. I asked a staff member when they would have more in stock, and he advised me to return the following day.
Before making another trip, I decided to call the store to check if the juices were available, hoping to avoid wasting petrol. I spoke to a staff member named Calvin, who transferred me to a lady to check the stock. She placed me on hold to verify availability, but when she returned, she said there was still no stock. I asked if she could check other Woolworths stores in the South of Johannesburg for stock, but she said no. I then requested a rain check, but she didn't know what that was. I asked to speak to a superior, and she promised to get a manager on the line. I waited for 10-15 minutes until my airtime ran out.
I called back and spoke to a manager by the Name of Farah who assured me they would provide a rain check or find a way for me to get the juices at the sale price of 3 six-packs for R100.00. However, the manager never called me back. I called the store again today24th of June to inquire about getting the juices at the discounted price and was told by the manager that their store manager advised it was only while stocks last. What about the promise she made advising that she can assure me that I'll get a raincheck it shouldn't be a problem.
As a loyal Woolworths customer, I am deeply disappointed by this experience. I intend to report this issue to the area manager or regional manager. This is unacceptable.
The Manager I liaised with is Farah.. Phatetic
