Terrible customer experience @ Woolworths centurion mall

I had a terrible customer experience at Woolworths Centurion mall this morning. I a have been buying there for years including yesterday.

I was asked by the cashier with a name tag Thakasile at the men's department to rewrite my signature on a separate paper. She compared the store card signature which fades over time and told me my signatures differ. She asked me to rewrite it again on a paper and compared to no avail. By now the queue was building and I was getting embarrassed. I told her I have my ID, driver's license and Woolies credit card can she double check with that. She refused and said the credit card uses a pin, my signature has to be the same as the faded store card. This went on for a while with me being told to rewrite my signature on a paper. I asked her is there no way we can solve this like me rewriting my signature on the card next to the faded one or they issue me with a new card. She gave me a pen but the pen could not write on the card. Eventually another lady who was standing by said the signatures I wrote on the paper are similar to the faded one on the card.

I am so embarrassed by the ordeal. I felt like I was spoken to rudely and dealt with like a *****. So upset. I called Woolies centurion and a so called manager told me they will deal with it. Nothing up to no. This is the worst customer experience I have ever gone through. My shopping experience turned to horror. I was sure she would call the police the way she was rude.
