Stop harassing me

I received a call from Woolworths Financial Services Thursday 21 February 2019 to notify me about the credit card I have opened with them which they said I am not paying and I owed it in excess of R17,000. I immediately stated my innocent and informed the caller that I do not have a credit with any organisation. I was then advised by the caller that I needed to go to the police station to do an affidavit and send it back to them together with my ID copy so that they can start with their investigation. I send the requested documents the following day (Friday 22 February 2019) to the email provided. I was told to expect the results in two weeks. Before even two weeks lapsed, I started getting calls from National Recovery with a Pretoria code. I informed them that I do not have a credit card with Woolworths and I have send them the required documents to do their investigation. Then the caller told me she will flag it on their system so that I do not get calls from them for the same matter. But calls kept coming. I then went to the store to address the matter and I was asked if I did fill a form in store to send together with my ID and affidavit? My answer was No. I did another affidavit which was forwarded to Woolworths Financial Services, this time from the store on Friday 8 March 2019. I hoped the calls from National Recovery to cease ringing, but I was wrong. I went back to the store armed with my two affidavits and emails sent to WFS to get some form of direction. A telephone follow-up from the store was done and WFS informed me that on their records there's no acknowledgement of receipts of my emails nor the ones forwarded from Woolworths store. I then asked the WFS official if she knew the people I read their names to and she said YES. I then told her that it is the people who initially called me about this matter and I forwarded my first affidavit to their emails as per their request. Then the WFS official asked the store to fax and forward my documents to her personal email. This was on Monday 13 May 2019. During April, I made countless calls to WFS as a form of a follow-up but everytime I was told to call ABSA because it is the bank hosting the credit card. I refused telling the WFS that I cannot do their work and I have no business with ABSA, needless to inform them that the very credit card was opened **********ly under my name and they will not get any cent from me. I am grossly unhappy with Woolworths and their call centre officials. Their workers at the store really did my best to assist me, but it seems there's a gap in communication. I have a question: what criteria did Woolworths use to issue the credit card? What security questions did they ask to ensure that they were issuing a credit card to the correct person? Which number phones did the person fill in their application form for the credit card? Why call me not the *********? Yes, I have an active store account with Woolworths which is paid up, but I do not have a card to process purchases in-store because I destroyed it in 2014 out of not needing to use it. Since then, I have been buying cash. Amazingly, the very credit card does not appear under my store account profile on Woolworths computers. The ********* did the same with Vodacom and Truworths. Vodacom confirmed it was a ********** account and I was cleared. TransUnion sent me clearance for the Truworths *****. Yes, I think I am a victim of identity theft Woolworths keep harassing via National Recovery. I received the latest call today and I told the caller that if it was about Woolworths then my interest is zero. This latest call triggered me to write this complain as I have realised, after doing all I was asked to do, Woolworths does not take me serious. Woolworths wants me to pay them R17,000 for the credit card I did not open with them. To this day, Woolworths is unable to show me the application form for the credit which will include telephones, residential address, banking details and a signature. Why would Vodacom and Truworths clear me of the *****, rightly so, but Woolworths keep harassing me? Please Woolworths, find the application form for the alleged credit card, compare it to my documents I have send you and use your common sense. Improve security on your application process so that other people do not fall victim. Stop harassing me. For real.
