Stiff-testeless-stale cake

We went to Sandton Woolies during lunch to buy cake and purchased two trays of chocolate and vanilla tray bakes.The expiry date showed the 17th July 2015 so we assumed that the cake would be spongy and moist like it usually is-but to our dismay the cake was stiff,tasteless and stale.The standard at woolies has really dropped hey-its not the first time this has happened-I had a similar experience with ****ins purchased at the campus square branch and thought I made a mistake and didn't't check expiry date correctly.What a waste of time and money....extremely disappointed:-(
