Stay away from Woolworths!

Woolworths is sinking lower and lower in my estimation. I am appalled by the baby carrier, Frankies and other stories that have surfaced on social media since the baby carrier story first broke. Today I discovered that Woolworths listed me for an overdue account ( some R121.91!!) with Experian Credit Bureau. I paid the account 7 days late on 14 December instead of 7 December, the moment I realized that I had forgotten the account payment. Woolworths by its own admission, says that I have an excellent credit record with them and Shamina the consultant I spoke to, said she can see that I always pay my account on the due date. I confess that December madness had me in its grip and that I did forget the December payment - but I would expect a good customer to be given some leeway before being listed. Above and beyond that - how can they be so inefficient that they have still not updated Experian about my payment of 14 December??? It is now 15 January - a whole month later. Woolworths did manage to update their own records so why the delay in updating Experian? I have my January 2019 Woolworths Statement which shows that there is nothing overdue but thanks to Woolworths inefficiency I am still listed with Experian. I am waiting on my bank and it cannot happen until my credit record is clear. Shamina from Woolworths said they are still working on last week's requests! This means there will be a 3 -5 day delay before Experian is updated by Woolworths and Experian tells me that it will take them another week to update their system once they hear from Woolworths. It is totally unacceptable. Woolworths please sort yourselves out. I for one, am going to vote with my feet and keep away from Woolworths as much as possible.
