Stale goods keot on the shelves

Bought dried mangoes yesterday at Woolworths at norkem corner. Today when i opened the pack i found the most disgusting mangoes. They are very hard and dont taste nice and when i checked they are expiring in 10 days. Why sell us stuff that should have already been taken off the shelves
