Smoothie Explosion!

I purchased a 300 ml Litchie and Coconut Smoothie @ R21.95 from Woolworths Bassonia (Comaro View Shopping Centre) on Sunday the 18th of February 2018.

I love the Woolworths smoothie range and usually purchase at least 4 for the week- every week!

The expiry date on the smoothie stated: SELL BY: 01-03-2018 USE BY: 03-03-2018

I took my smoothie with me along to work on the 23rd of February 2018. I decided to open it as I would for my mid-morning hydration.

As I began opening the smoothie- I heard the sound of gas and saw that some of the smoothie began oozing out the sides.

I decided to step outside the office and open it in order to avoid messing the floors.

Once outside, I twisted the lid off and half the bottle of Smoothie shot up into the air! Half of the shoot up landed all over me and the other half all over the pavement

Needless to say this was a huge embarrassment. People starred as my hair and clothes was drenched in smoothie!

After cleaning myself off, I decided to take a small sip to determine if the drink was fit for consumption. To my disgust, all I could taste was acid, sour milk and the smell of gas!

I am extremely disgusted, offended and ashamed of what I had to endure at my work space with this smoothie. Not to mention the sicknesses which could have resulted from consumption of the smoothie.

Advise what type of action will be taken in this regard!
