Shoes of Inferior quality

I bought a pair of Kids shoes( from Woolworths Greenacres on 21 July 2015. My child wore the shoes the following day to school and when he came back in the afternoon the covering/dye in the front was chipped on both shoes. I took the shoes back to the shop and they told me they can't accept them because it's not a quality problem. I refuse to accept this as I am seeking value for my money.
