Shocking on-line grocery service

I want to share my experience of ordering on-line Woolies groceries so as to warn anyone who wants to do so. After having just had a baby it's quite difficult to get to the shops. Also, I feel terrible to continuously ask friends and family to buy things there for me. So, to my delight, decided to try Woolies on-line grocery shopping where they deliver to your door. I ordered Fri afternoon for delivery Tues between 10-1 (I could have had early Monday eve, but it would have been tricky to accept delivery at that time). By the time Tuesday came I really needed these groceries. At 7:30am I had a call from Woolies - a lady wanted to tell me that the butternut I wanted had a dell by date of the following day. She asked me if I still wanted it. This impressed me. And she asked if I wanted to replace another item they were out of. At 10:30/11 I received an email stating that they were running 3 hours behind schedule. By 3pm - I had no groceries and so I called Woolies. I was told they had a problem with their system - which was strange as I had a call that morning about my order. They told me they would call back shortly to update me with my order. They did and after much distress on my side (they still could not give me a time for delivery) they eventually told me their driver was on his way. At 4:30 I still had not received my groceries. I called the number they called me from and waited for over 13 minutes before someone answered. I was advised that I went through to the wrong department and they could not transfer my call (this was Head Office). They said I needed to call another number. At 5 pm I called the number for on-line shopping and cancelled my order as I had to ask someone to go to the shops for me or I wouldn't have anything to make my son for dinner. They assured me they cancelled the order and I would be refunded. At 5:20 the delivery arrived. I sent it away. I'll keep you posted re: if and when I get refunded....
