Shocking find in Tin roof ice cream at Woolworths

about 3 weeks ago my wife purchased the tin roof ice cream with almonds that was on sale i.e. R100 for 2 tubs. We had a function at home and served the ice cream to our guests including kids. whilst i was consuming the ice cream i bit into what i though was the along but found it to be quiet hard however as i bit i could sense that it broke into pieces. I am forever grateful that i did not swallow what i thought to be the almond nut cos to my horror it was a piece of plastic. I was extremely perturbed by this as it would have caused serious health issues if i swallowed the broken plastic. i made contact with the woolworths call center informing them of this. i got a response a week later informing me that i will receive feedback. i had to after a week follow up again as i did not receive a response. i received an email yesterday apologising and giving me the hogwash feedback about their standards and that they had addressed the manufacturer. The sore point is that they value my health by sending me a voucher for R150. Should i have gone to the hospital and done xrays and the dentist to look at my teeth and serve them the bill. this is ludicrous coming from huge retailer like this.
