Sell By and Use By dates

Shopping at Woolworths has become an unpleasant experience for my wife and I. We spend a great deal of time checking the "sell by" and "use by" dates of the "fresh" products. We are pensioners and can't afford to waste any food. With the current prices, nobody can afford to waste anything. Yesterday was 09 March, and the number of products that reflected the "use by" date of 10 March was unbelievable, including a 2 liter bottle of full cream milk. If we had not checked the date, the milk would have had to be dumped and wasted a few days later. This problem is also evident with pre-packed fruit, salads and bread / bakery items. This is obviously a new strategy by Woolworths to boost their profits at the expense of their loyal customers. It is no surprise that Woolworths is loosing market share to the likes of Checkers who have uped their game and are adding more ex Woolworths customers daily. Hopefully Woolworths will acknowledge that this is a problem, and start valueing their customers again!!
