“Rules” vs common sense kindness. Woolies don’t care about their customers.

Staff would not hold items for me for my church minister to pay for today first thing. They said they were sales items and couldn’t be put on hold (this at 4:30pm and my minister would be there the next morning at 8am to make the purchase). They wouldn’t consider my circumstances (that I’m a single mother of 3 going through a hideous divorce and that my church was purchasing the items in care of my children). There are “rules” that lead to cruelty and humiliation and then there is just common sense!!!! Woolies was dead quiet , no one else had been in the kids section while I was there - so it was really horrible and made no sense why they couldn’t hold the items for 1 hour (end of day business). I’ve supported and clothed my girls for 14 years - and 14 years as a loyal customer didn’t get me a moment’s kindness or understanding from this company who cares more about profits. It was a humiliating experience. Won’t shop there again.
