I was conveniently shopping at Woolworths Hillcrest Centre, when I was amidst in making urgent arrangements when my phone's battery disappointed me. I went to the coffee station to ask if there is perhaps a phone available so I can make a quick phone call. Whereas the male coffee attendee was so vague the guard opt to rather help me instead (which is pathetic as she is working for a third party company-she even offered her own personal mobile phone). Needless to say she showed me towards a lady, Mashidiso is her name. No greeting me, nothing. I explained to her my situation where she exclaimed there is a code needed to make a call and for that she needs a manager. So I asked her if she can please call the manager so I can make my call. She walked on her time; like it is a schlep to help me. A few odd minutes the most rude unsympathetic manager I have encountered approaches me. I pull out my broadest Colgate smile where Sylvia cannot even greet me properly. She was so rude and offish I was actually speechless. If I did not have to desperately make the call I would not have been standing in front of her. I was not a beggar or anything; my till slip is ref 0 ********** ********** for R 768,27 at Yvonne Makua (which by the way was very friendly). Go check I buy each month at least R1000 worth of fresh produce but will highly consider buying there again. I strongly advise you do personality checks on both employees as I think retail is not for them.
