Rotten fruits brought from Woolworths and no action since reporting the matter

I'm really disappointed with the Woolworths foods' food quality and service received after notifying them of a very dangerous incident. On Fri, 07 June 2019, I brought a packet of Clementine Naartjies and the following day I opened one only to find mould inside the Naartjies, it was clearly rotten. What was scary was that my 04 year old Son started getting sick after eating 1.

The next morning on Saturday 08 June 2019, I went to Woolworths Doughlasdale, where I brought the Naartjies to report the matter. The shop assistant informed me that such matters are handled by their Head Office and she will just report the matter and Head Office will contact me.

I didn't receive any call or email, then I went to the store on Monday at 12:00. I met a very clueless Store Manager who didn't know what to do and just said I should follow-up with their Head Office over the phone.

I then contacted the number given to me and the call center agent basically said to me I must be glad cos they have allocated a number to my case meaning that they are attending to it, he then said I must just wait for them to call me.

I informed him that its been more than 2 days since a child is sick after eating the Naartjies and you are telling me to wait indefinite. He then informed me that the matter of a child eating the fruit was not reported by the store (hiding some info).

Its Wednesday, 12 June 2019 which is 05 Days since we brought and ate rotten Naartjies, there is a child's life which is at risk and Woolworths does not really care about that.

I'm really disappointed in this and I'm looking at taking legal action. Can I get advise on what I can do.
