Rotten apples!

I recently bought a packet of top red apples from Woolworths, which is where I normally buy my fresh produce hoping for good quality. However, I have been disappointed with this particular pack of apples which seem to be rotten inside. A few apples have been thrown away after just one bite....where's value for my money here? It clearly seems like we have to throw away the whole packet because it is getting harder to pick that one good quality apple.
