****** by Woolorths, Be careful when buying vouchers at Woolies as you may be roobed

Never have I thought that one day I would be ****** by Woolworths! Yes THEE WOOLWORTHS!!!

So I bought a gift voucher for my mother at Woolworths which I had believed was a trusted store. My mother went and bought shoes using her voucher, only to learn the shoes where not suitable. Within her rights she took the shoes back to Woolworths Maponya Mall. They explained to her (63yr old) that since she used a voucher her credit will be put in a voucher again and not cash. Fair enough that's what was expected.

Little did she know that as soon as she left the store her voucher would be blocked! A few days later she returns to use her voucher and discovers that the voucher was blocked. They could not explain to her why the voucher was blocked. And gave my 63yr old a run around. Eventually seeing that she's been at the shop long waiting for answers she was offered a 500ml orange juice to keep her suger levels up. Really!!! She was assisted by a Dimakatso who had no answers and when my mom asked to see the manager Dimakatso had the nerve to lie and say the manager is not around. Eventually she is directed to a guy that Dimakatso has been going to for assistance as the "Manager" by the name of Madijeng. Over 2hrs she was at Woolworths and left without using the card that I bought with my hard earned money. The card number was taken by the two employees and mother left empty handed.

I then called the customer service to complain about what happened. I spoke to a lady by the name of Zara who promised to get the matter resolved. She supp**** me with a whatsapp number for follow up. She then was off sick two days later, the I was suddenly blocked from the whatsapp number. I proceeded to call complaints department and lodged a complaint.( My mothe is a Mlambo by marriage and my ****en surname is therefore Mlambo, and I married to Khanyile) the reason for the surname explanation is that the Woolworths representative that returned my call named Joseph, was so rude and questioned my two surnames, I had no idea that Woolworths was Home affairs, the guy interrogated me and forcefully and loudly told me that I will NEVER get the voucher again or even activate it then he hang up.

This was or is my reference number for my complaint : ***. What happened to my credit in the voucher? What was it blocked? What kind of service is Woolworth is this? What has Woolworth become? I grow up using the brand, I buy there for my kids. Now I am disgusted by the thought of theft, ***** and rudeness Woolworth offers. Sies Woolies sies!
