Ridiculous refund

So this past Sunday I decide to return one of the sale items and one normal priced item that I bought on my credit card at the Promenade branch, Mitchell's Plain. The credit card gets paid in full when my salary comes in so, as such it was paid on Friday when I got my salary. As I am returning the clothes the I request to get the refund in cash as I had already paid the cc and I don't want to be charged again (as I was charged for the purchase already). I was then informed that I can't do that as the refund should be done the same way the purchase was made. I explain the situation to them and I was told that I can withdraw the money after the refund which I found as a stupid thing to say whilst I'm trying to avoid bank charges - cc withdrawals are more expensive than normal debit card withdrawals (which any person who works with credit cards should know). I requested for the store manager, Unsare, yho! My mistake! He rudely told me that it was not their problem I would be charged, I just should deal with my bankers! Let alone the problem I was facing but the tone and the condescending manner he spoke to me in was uncalled for! I mean, he could've offered to do the refund on a voucher - which is no longer on the cards for me - or something cleverer!

I know this can be done as I have seen people do it in the past when I used to work for Woolworths. I have endured so much abuse from Woolies, from being ill treated at work and having my salary being deducted without my knowledge nor consent to being sold chicken that was off (in the same store) and rotten apples yet I still buy from Woolies. Through the #boycottwoolworths campaign I still support this brand. All I want is my money in cash. I can accept the money being transferred to my debit card (as both the cc and debit card are part of the same Professional Banking bundle from the same bank). However, being charged for the same thing is what I can not accept. Please deal with this urgently. The total purchase was for approximately R1 500 and with return you would still had made a sale of more than R1000.

Ps. I left both the items (worth R449) at the customer service counter as I don't want them and will not be bul**** into something I don't want to do. This is no longer just about the money but about how Woolies does not empathise with the working class which is trying by all means to save where they can. I refuse to take the clothes back, I will leave them there and you can decide what to do with then as you want to decide what to do with my money. I'd rather lose R449 and never shop at Woolies again than to let things slide any longer!
