Returning my son shoes

Went to Woolworths in Sandton at customer service department, was assisted by supervisor called Connie which she was not helpful and bad attitude. She did not take time to listen to my concern and to come up with a solution as I had to provide with one. I bought Spider-Man Aquasocks Size 8 for my son last month on 20/10/2017 in Sandton store, after few days my son wore the shoes he developed blisters and his foot was swollen as also one morning when I wore him the shoes he complained that his foot is sore, I thought maybe he felt at the nursery, same day at the nursery they gave me a call saying that I must stop putting the shoes on his foot because his unable to walk and play, and his foot is swollen as his complaining of pains too. I stopped for few days n thought let me wash them as observe if this are the same shoes that makes his foot sore with sores and blisters and one morning I decided to put the shoes on his foot and that day after the nursery when he returns my uncle who was helping to watch over him while I am returning from work called me and advised that my son can’t walk, his foot is swollen and has blisters on his foot and in so much pain as he had to put his foot inside the warm water with salt to rub it. I was so furious and mad of why this is happening to my son with these shoes as its right size and looks comfortable for him. For all most a week he was wearing sleepers to creche as he could not wear any shoes because he was still in trauma and pain. I decided to wash them, look for the invoice as I always keep them. I decided to visit the store to complain and return them to take another shoes. Guess what immediately when I got there the cashier assisting called the supervisor for authorization and the lady Connie looked at me as if I am mad and amazed without listening to the nature of my complain and reason for return she immediately told me that they are not in good quality as they won’t be able to sell them again to anyone and she can’t feel something inside the shoe that could hurt the child and there is nothing they can do even if I have the invoice it doesn't make any difference and if I have the photos of my son injuries. I asked if she can listen to me as I firstly tell her that this is their product and she is not the maker of the shoe as well and that she doesn't know what can happen or never experienced wearing the shoe as same to me. Also is not about the money as I had another pair of shoes to exchange with, as almost the whole of my life I have been shopping at Woolworths, all my son's clothes since birth I buy them from Woolworths, their shoes and uniform too, my own clothes and groceries, poultry and vegetables and fruits I buy there every month there, have my school card for my son creche and have Wcard too I swipe every month for almost 12 years. I shop at the store because of quality not about money or anything, but yesterday i was so disappointed and irate of the bad service I received from Connie with the shop brand you have. I hope she will learn and know that is not all about money but quality and service too that makes you happy and return to merchant again, I visit the store almost every week as I work around the area too. Also calls in for things to be kept for me to pick up after work. I had to tell her what to do as to advice the supplier of the query about their shoe as I left them as also she couldn’t even advise me of the turnaround time for feedback from the supplier as I had to ask her. My son still has marks on his foot of the blisters and sore on, took pics yesterday late at home. I so wish at time people can always try to listen to a person, stop looking at his/her image also try put themselves into the person shoes and offer solution or advice to the matter without having an attitude and long face. Woolworths my number one retailer shop I love. My contact details ********** 533, Miss Lucia Tshepiso Mngomezulu
